Mission Statement

 

The purpose of DEPC is to offer a source of entertainment for the dancer and the community; to enhance the students' performing arts experience and technique along with additional opportunities to dance and demonstrate their skills as dancers with a professional, dedicated and responsible attitude, developing team spirit, leadership and personal confidence.

• Dancer's must take ballet and jazz

• Regular class & rehearsal attendance, punctuality, attire and respectful attitudes are also required.

Information and Details

 

 

Dancers are accepted into the Company via audition ( some dance experience is necessary) with the requirement for ongoing class commitment and training.  The youngest age we can accept is six ( with a particular cut off). Company focuses on the learning and presenting of choreography ( where as class will train technique). Typically a performing company will learn a couple of dances in a session and have approximately two venue performances ( a variety of competition, showcases and other local performances) per session also ( sometimes more - please see calendar). 

While DE is understanding and respectful of family and school commitments, this more dedicated performing company experience also requires a sense of commitment, and therefore sincere evaluation of the DEPC calendar frequency is needed before joining.
