As we pull the curtain open, imagine pulling a Christmas Cracker... As the cracker opens, it streams colorful paper, gifts, trivia and riddles raining down their sparkle and entertainment...Here we are, celebrating dance, the holidays and life in general, with another A Christmas Cracker performance... Just like pulling the emblematic traditional British Christmas Cracker, and receiving a variety of fun, so is the laughter, singing, and rainbow of personalities within every dancer in the cast, that grace the studio's dance floor each week and now this wonderful stage! Join all local students as they bring their newly learned, original choreography to the stage in celebration of the art of dance, the holidays, tradition and togetherness.​​

Thank you for taking time to share your support of the performing arts. It is an honor to work with each of these dancers and we thank you for the opportunity. Many thanks to the dancers themselves for their effort, energy and enthusiasm, but to each of their family members too, for being part of the fabric that is woven into the experience. A Christmas Cracker concludes the Fall 2025 session and Winter 2026 will begin...tentatively January 12th.
2026 sees the 25th anniversary of Ms Tracy at the helm of DancEncounter and DE's 33rd year of existence! So many memories, stories and connections and each one is a treasure! As always we appreciate the management team and staff at Batavia Fine Arts Centre for giving us a professional theatre home and the DancEncounter instructors, guest artists, substitute teachers and friends that share their artistry and passion for dance. Sincere Thanks for your role in this magic!

Please consider visiting our Giving Tree at Geneva History Museum, enjoy the festive decorations, where donations will benefit both LEAF, other worthy participants and our local history museum- take a moment to see GHM's wonderful work in person but you may vote/donate online.

The winning tree of the 'Giving Trees' will keep 100% of its donations. Remaining trees will split their donations with the museum.... either way, a worthy cause...
